Whitney K returns with "Bubble," his first album for Fire Records and the follow-up to 2022's "Hard To Be A God." Whitney K continues his migrant musings, conjuring a cast of intriguing characters peppered with everyday foibles and fantasies.

As he travels through a volatile America, he writes a diary of possibilities, addressing everything from barroom conversations, rumors and distortions to misinformation, daydreams, misunderstandings and self-realization; with anecdotes from the pocketbook in his back pocket and his half-forgotten past. bubble" is a 13-song cerebral mystery that unravels into songs reminiscent of the gruff sentimentality of the late Kris Kristoferson, Lennon's "Jealous Guy," the Eels at their most troubled, and the American Gothic sketches of David Ackles; the perfect soundtrack for a Raymond Carver book club. It was recorded in Montreal and self-produced by band members Josh Boguski and Michael Halls in their home studio.
