During their, very short, creative period in the 1970s, they unfortunately did not celebrate great commercial success - despite great praise from critics. Only in the 90s, two decades later, when world famous bands like R.E.M. called Big Star very influential for their music, the Power Pop-Rock Band from Tennessee was again noticed.
